Odyr walked up to the entrance of the cave and gazed into the darkness. Adrenaline pulsed through his veins, not out of fear, but rather out of the prospect of the treasure that might await him in the Stony Depths, and his future quests as a member of Ashmourne. "Last test. This'll be a piece of poffin" he said with a sideways smirk as he plunged headlong into the darkness.

It was becoming much lighter as Odyr traversed through the depths of the cavern; his large round eyes started to adjust to the lack of any natural lighting that couldn't pierce through the cavern besides its entrance. As soon as Odyr got within range of several of the cavern entrance there seemed to be several small rocks littered around the cavern floor; some jagged, some shone a bright gloss color while others seemed to be fragile and could crumble easily.
Suddenly from out of the ground two Geodude dislodged their long, burly arms from the ground and began to hover briskly above the ground, with looks or irrate on their faces. One of them began to speak gruffly to the Turtwig. "We take what we want, and after we take Roggenrola and the Pidgey, we want the treasure! Turtwig, we comin' for you, Suckah!" As soon as they had finished they charged straight towards Turtwig, both of them using Tackle.

Odyr greeted the challenge with a smile and a light chuckle as he reared up on his hind legs, then slammed down onto the ground with a mighty roar (or, as might a roar as a turtle can make) and shouted "EARTH POWER", erupting a pillar of cracked, molten earth right in front of the Geodude's. "I take what I want as well, and what I want is treasure. You can run away if you want, or you can stay to be KO'd. It doesn't matter to me."

The pillar shot up but it was not nearly as effective as perhaps the turtle thought it would be; both Geodudes blitzed past the molten rock as both rock and fire were ineffective against both combatants, though they did sustain some damage from recklessly charging through the attack. However, both Geodude collided with the Turtwig and sent him rocketing to the other side of the room, tumbling until it was only the presence of the stone wall that stopped the turtle from rolling away further.
"Shucky Ducky Quack Quack!" The Geodude taunted, fistbumping eachother while still keeping their hardened glare upon Turtwig's visage. "You think you got what it takes, suckah?"

There was a loud "KNOCK!" as Odyr's shell hit the wall. He retreated into his shell as he hit the ground, then came back out as he bounced upright. A trickle of blood dripped off his cheek. He smirked and licked it off. "I hate to disappoint you, but that was just my way of saying hello." Odyr turned to the nearest Geodude and pounced on him, latching onto his head with his mouth and using absorb as he punched the rocky mass in the face.

It wasn't really what the Geodude were expecting; afterall, close-quarters combat was where they specialized although they weren't counting on Turtwig to know such an attack. Turtwig latched on to the face of the first Geodude and began to suck it dry on its energy, the Geodude flailing its arms in panic as suddenly its vision became dark and beginning to feel faint, at last trying to yank Turtwig from himself with the help of the other Rock pokemon. Finally, the other Geodude managed to rip Turtwig from his friend then punching him away with a powerful Mega Punch.
The first Geodude was starting to feel much more faint than before, opting to sit back while his friend began to take the lead, but the weakened pokemon still taunted. "You think you strong, foo'? Me and mah friend here know an egg move, so you best be prepared for a whoopin' boy!"

Odyr groaned as the wind was knocked out of him from the punch. He tried to spin around mid-air, but ended up stumbling when he hit the ground, rolling back over to the wall he had struck moments before. These Geodude were stronger than expecting, and he couldn't keep up a 2 v 1 battle for much longer. He stood up then, thinking to himself That absorb sustained me for a little while, but these guys are stronger than I was expecting. I'll have to rely on Absorb for now, and try to take one of them out
Odyr looked over at the Geodude he had just attacked. He was weak, but probably not weak enough to be taken out with one hit. He'd need to find a way to separate the two if he was going to take the first one out. The Turtwig, somewhat panicking, started to look around the room to see if there was anything he could use to his advantage.

This was what the Trial of Conquest was about; overcoming the odds, using whatever you could to win, doing what was needed to claim what was rightfully yours. As Odyr began to scan the vicinity for anything that could be of any help, there was nothing; the location was specifically chosen so that there were no items one could use, only you was your weapon. There was plenty of cover, several raised pillars and boulders of stone and dirt to cower behind, but nothing rudimentary to aid in the offense.
The Geodude were not to relent on their assault though. However, the active Geodude began to return to his offensive nature, grabbing ahold of the ground and pulling out a huge boulder, throwing it at the Turtwig with Rock Throw. On the other hand, the second Geodude use Rock Polish, doubling its speed..

Odyr panicked for a moment as the rock flew toward him. He had never faced two opponents as powerful as these Geodude at the same time before, nor had to rack his brain so much in a fight. He glanced again around the room, seeing nothing but solid stone everywhere he looked...and formulated a plan. It was a crap-shoot, but that was his style.
He waited until the boulder was several feet in front of him, bunching up his hind legs as he prepared to execute his plan. This is either going to work, or blow up in my face, but no matter what I'm not gonna get hit. He leaped onto the forward side of the rock with a mighty shout, pushing off of it with all four legs as he yelled "EARTH POWER". Red-hot cracks spidered outward from his four footprints, and he started to use Withdraw to brace himself for whatever came next.

It could prove to be a double-edged sword, but then again that's what the defensive measure was for, in any case it was a smart move to use Withdraw, especially when involved in such a violent reaction; as Earth Power began to surge through each and every fiber of the giant boulder, the energy began to react violently due to its lack of density, exploding in a shower of miniature meteors straight towards both of the Geodude but, once again, the explosion caused Odyr to rocket back towards the wall again, but the effect of Withdraw caused minimal damage.
The shower of molten rock blasted towards both Geodude. The active Geodude took a blast of absolute power as he was mere feet from the explosion, taking a large amount of damage, as much as the retreating Geodude who managed to avoid the incoming projectiles with its increased speed. Taking a back seat for the moment, the active Geodude using Rock Polish while the other used Defense Curl, both at double speed but the second having some increased defenses.

Odyr bounded into action, kicking off the wall and sprinting toward the Geodude he had had just showered with the remains of the boulder, hoping to take advantage of his confusion and gain the upper hand.
He emerged from the dust of the explosion and latched onto the living boulder, grabbing him with his mouth and spinning around from the momentum of his pursuit. He used Absorb, to sap what energy he could from the already-weakened pokemon.
He then released his prey, and with another roar of power bounded off him with another earth power, wondering how it would affect living-stone, toward the Geodude who had just used Defense Curl, his mouth agape and ready to use Absorb once more.

It was the finishing touch that was needed; despite how fast a Geodude's body could move, it couldn't increase their block-head mental processing speeds. The Geodude was, once again, latched onto on his face by the rather tough yet stubborn Turtwig. Despite the use of its Defense Curl, and despite its speed, it was its health that was its downfall, having the last of its energy sucked dry before falling over. "...Damn...suckah..." The geodude fell to the ground like... well, a rock, tipping over backwards as it fainted.
However, the other Geodude, quiet yet focused as ever used a Tackle attack to knock the Turtwig from the now fainted stone pokemon, knocking him away and skidding along the ground, following up with another powerful Mega Punch due to its heightened speed aiming to smash Odyr across the room once more.

Odyr released his grip on the now unconscious Pokemon, savoring the feeling of warmth as energy flowed back into his body and began to heal his bones. Because of this semi-dazed state, he wasn't expecting to be tackled off his prey.
He looked up just in time to see the lightning-fast fist coming his way. He didn't have enough time to dodge, so he quickly used Withdraw again to lessen the effect of the blow. He stumbled back a few steps from the impact, but didn't suffer too much damage due to his heightened defense.
Odyr grimaced in pain and frustration. He didn't have many more hits in him, and he needed to finish this fight fast. This Geodude had vastly superior speed, and he wasn't going to be able to catch him by conventional means. His mind spun, and he couldn't think clearly enough to devise any plan but one.
He gazed at the Geodude for but a moment, and smirked, before he began. I can use it 7 more times, I better make them count. He raised a single paw into the air, and slammed it onto the ground, using Earth Power beneath the Geodude. Then he began stomping his forepaws alternately, exploding the earth all around his opponent with Earth Powers, and attempting to put them in his path should he try to flee.
